Hello everybody! I realize it has been a while since an update and I apologize but we’ve been so stinking busy lately that is has been very difficult to find the time. Anyway, I wanted to clue you in to some Junk News…We’re working with a booking company called “Distractions” to set up shows for the year and we hope the gigs will cover the region nicely. There should be some shows booked in all the surrounding states including North and South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin and maybe some more. We’ve got some killer new tunes to unleash upon the music community and we are very stoked about the new material. That’s about it for now but check back for more updates in the coming weeks and get ready for some Junk!

Since we’ve gotten Brent fully trained-in our current song list and immersed in the songwriting process, we’ve turned out three of our best tunes to date. We’ll rock them out at our October 19th show as well as a surprise Descendants song (come to the show to find out the song). During our upcoming break we’ll put together something like 15 more songs and begin the recording process. Probably take some time but keep checking back for further updates as they come. I’ve also gotten an idea from a friend to produce some political flavored Junk videos so that may also come down the pipe as well as a new photo shoot which has been in planning for the last 2 months. I’ll let yall know.

Lace up your waffle makers and glue up the liberty spikes, Amerikan Junk is playing at The Triple Rock! This is going to be our last official show before our extended hiatus which will likely last until the new year unless we do a new year show, I guess we’ll see. Anyway, our friends from Kansas City, “Fairbanks” put the show together. They’re a Rock band that really knows how to jam. Also on the bill is “Wolfman Strikes Again” which includes some other buddies of ours from the area and “Modern Mercenary.” It should be a great, musically diverse show. We’ll see you there!
